We grew up with the idea of being part of a free Europe, where you'd be able to move, work and live wherever you wanted, but this is quickly fading away.
Brexit, nationalists even war now are shattering the future we took for granted only few years back.

In this record we set out to chronicle and manifest the resistance of interpersonal communication on public channels during a time when the concept of a common ‘house’ as Europe was (is?) falling apart. People reaching out to strangers for no other reason than testifying their existence.

We did so by recording years of ham radio transmissions across Europe, transforming those random conversation and bursts of noise into the record you can hear now.

Il Radioamatore is also a fictional character based on the true stories of our relatives, collected from various european countries, the full story can be found in included the booklet.
